Stephen Curry, Phil Mickelson latest to drag Charles Barkley's golf swing

Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson will team up on the golf course Friday, but that didn't stop "Lefty" from mocking Barkley's swing on Sunday.

That duo will match up with Stephen Curry and Peyton Manning in "The Match: Champions for Change" the day after Thanksgiving. It'll be the second iteration of "The Match" after Manning and Tom Brady joined Mickelson and Tiger Woods, respectively, on the course in May. Barkley's golf swing has been much-maligned, and Mickelson and Curry discussed it over Twitter less than a week before it'll be on national television.

It all started with a promotional video from Callaway Golf, which showed Curry flopping a shot over a cardboard cutout of Mickelson. That prompted a reply from Mickelson saying he might start worrying about "The Match" now.

Curry couldn't pass up the opportunity to let Mickelson know where his real anxieties should come from: Barkley's swing. Mickelson agreed.

Curry replied to that tweet with laughing emojis, and then he added insult to injury by posting a video of Barkley's swing with a mocking caption.

"They're gonna have to put that 24 second shot clock on Chuck for this thing," Curry wrote. "He's gonna be burning daylight out there @PhilMickelson #TheMatch."

Manning and Curry, who has played in professional golf events, will play against Mickelson and Barkley on Friday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. ET at Stone Canyon Golf Club in Arizona. They'll play a modified alternate shot format, and it'll be televised on TNT. Mickelson was a winner in May when teamed with Brady, but Barkley's yips-heavy golf swing doesn't quite live up to the G.O.A.T.'s.
