LeBron James Announces Children’s Book ‘I PROMISE’ According to ‘Entertainment Weekly,’ James has teamed up with HarperCollins Publishers for a two-book deal. The first book, titled ‘I PROMISE,’ is a children’s picture book and is set for release in August of 2020. Its name comes from the I Promise School that James founded in Akron, Ohio, in 2018 that aims to provide at-risk children with a stable learning environment. According to James, ‘I PROMISE’ will provide representation to “every single kid" and act as an opportunity to “get children and parents reading together.” LeBron James, via ‘Entertainment Weekly’ James later took to Instagram to elaborate further, saying he wants the book to make kids feel “empowered.” LeBron James, via Instagram He also teased that the next book released with HarperCollins would be a “middle school edition.”

Beilein will inform his staff and players of the news when they return from All-Star break on Wednesday. Beilein signed a five-year contract with Cleveland in the offseason, a deal that paid him more than $4 million per year. The team and Beilein agreed to a settlement that will pay the coach a portion of his remaining salary for the 2019-2020 season.
